Subdivision, city, and postal fields to be blanked in Tokyo metro area in some cases

Effective today, Monday, November 3, 2025, we will be blanking out the subdivision, city, and postal fields in cases where the subdivision was previously mapped to Tokyo but end-users are dispersed throughout Japan.

This change will result in fewer resolutions to the Tokyo subdivision and will be reflected in the following products and services:

• GeoIP City database
• GeoIP Enterprise database
• GeoIP City Plus web service
• GeoIP Insights web service
