Supporter/VIP Membership

My primary reason for starting to use this site rather than some of the others is because the ads here were less intrusive than the others, at least most of the time. Those silly expanding ads are frustrating, but at least they load quickly and are easy enough to get rid of, but I digress.

My suggestion is to add a supporter/VIP membership that members can purchase (either monthly or annually) to remove all the ads. Depending on the cost, I'd certainly be a buyer. I'm not sure what I consider that to be worth, but I'm sure you can determine based on current traffic and ad revenue.

I generally agree. A couple of things I want to figure out first:

1. What additional information can be returned for premium users that would also add value (VPN, proxy, tor, etc)?
   1. Of course ad-free would be involved with this
2. How can I enable site owners to purchase a premium service that also covers their moderators?

The second point is a big one as most moderators are volunteer so it makes sense for the site owner to share premium with their moderator staff. It is all on my to-do list for January.
